This is a picture of a ball. I had trouble getting the lighting right on this shot–the primary light source was extremely bright. I couldn’t turn it down or off, and I had no way to diffuse it… so I ended up with this. I wanted to put something above the subject so that I could get a nice reflective arc on the top, but I didn’t have anything big enough.

Yesterday my seven year old daughter and I drew this picture together. (We drew it in her Hello Kitty sketchbook, so that was the inspiration for the theme.)

I’ve been doing some doodling on the computer lately. A few nights ago, I drew this picture of King Arthur considering this knight’s interest in joining the round table.

It’s apparently a wasp, and that long tail is indeed for depositing eggs. Mystery solved.
